Studio Pinecki Arquitectura

Location: Porreres

Area: 125 sqm

Typology: Renovation and change of use of premises

The renovation of this space has a significant impact both professionally and personally for our studio. This project not only involves the refurbishment of the former jewelry shop of Mari Carmen, Anna Pinecki’s mother-in-law, which was an iconic business in the Porreres square for over 30 years, but also represents a personal challenge. We aspire for this to be the definitive location where our studio’s foundations take root.

We have strived to preserve the essence of the old shop as much as possible, maintaining iconic elements that will accompany us in our daily work. The majestic large antique wooden doors, the coffered wooden ceiling, the old fan, and its incredible showcase facing the square, allowing an abundance of natural light, are features we have respected and revitalized.

These historical elements harmonize seamlessly with new additions that follow the same aesthetic line. The reclaimed doors, built-in office, old-fashioned mechanisms, lightweight lamps, and Menorcan door handles are details that reflect our commitment to tradition and functionality.

This project is a testament to our passion for architecture, merging past and present to create spaces that tell stories and, at the same time, look towards the future.
